stunning
Stunning is a system which requires a delicate balance to ensure that one side does not majorly overpower the other.
Backstory:
One of the biggest problems for the MI is stun weapons. Electromagnetic emitters, carried by enemies, most often droids, had the ability to incapacitate, often fatally, an officer in the battle.
Until recently, stun armour was not really an option. It required often-times bulky equipment that reduced an officers dexterity and was just not worth the hassle. Recently however, several officers drove through, and captured, some droidic units that seemed to be using strange types of crystal to deflect, and/or absorb damage.
These got taken back to Astraeus and studdied for about 5 months before we finally cracked their secret, and figured out how to actually build them.
The process was not easy, and many scientists are doubtful whether these new types of crystal will take off.
You will need:
- A volcano miner. The more cargo in it the better, minimum 50.
- A deep blue crystal, obtained from hand mining.
- A crystal refiner, with 20 crystals in.
- Go to Eexei Othairus and go south of the landing pad. Type crystal new to start a new crystal process.
- Type crystal add to add other people. You need a minimum of three contributors, however, the more you have the more likely you are to get better final products.
- Complete the various activities of volcano mining, hand mining and black dwarf harvesting to get the relevant parts.
- Once you have collected all of the resources that you want, you add them to the project by typing crystal contribute.
- Each person must, between the start and the end of the project, type crystal refine. This can be done at any point providing that there is 1 blue crystal, 50 volcano mining resource and 20 black dwarf crystals available in the project. See the notes on refining.
- Once everyone has contributed, you can type crystal begin.

Essential things to understand about crystals:
Crystals have three stats, blockage, size and absorbtion.
Blockage: This is how much a crystal can block per hit. If your blockage is 16, it can block a maximum of 16 seconds of stuntime per hit.
Storage: When your crystal blocks a blow, it converts that energy into electricity, which it stores within the crystal. Unfortunately this causes it to slowly break apart and when the crystal is full, it will become useless. So far, scientists have not found a way to discharge the electricity into other things, though they are trying.
Absorbtion: this is how much of the attack the crystal will absorb and will go down the more your crystal fills.
What to do:
3.1: Volcano mining, 50 per person is required.
3.2: Hand mining, Dark Blue Crystals 1 per person.
3.3: Black dwarf harvesting, 20 per person.
Note that to begin, you will need 1 deep blue crystal, 50 volcano mining resources and 20 black dwarf crystals.
Further note however that if you have more than the above, for example, 5 dark blue crystals, 250 volcano mining resources and 100 black dwarf crystals, you massively increase the end product that you get!
You do not have to stay in the room during the final refinement if you don't want to.
If you are in the room you will receive your crystal straight away, otherwise it is sent to you in the post office.
Refinement:
To complete a stun crystal, each person must type crystal refine.
This puts them into a minigame where you are told 3 random colours from the colours of the rainbow. You must press enter 2 seconds after you are told the colour timed by the colour's position so:
Red: 2 seconds.
Orange: 4 seconds.
Yellow: 6 seconds.
Green: 8 seconds.
Blue: 10 seconds.
Indigo: 12 seconds.
Violet: 14 seconds.
You will be told the colour and then you press enter when you think the time is up.
Tip: It is easier if you have a ticking clock on youtube!
Your score will be averaged on how accurate you were and then this, along with a role of your precision skill, determines your refinement contribution.
Using a stun crystal:
Once your crystal is made, simply clip it to your belt. as long as you are wearing the belt it will work!
Each time your crystal is hit it will flash. the brighter the flash, the more it has blocked. Once your crystal starts to get full, it will get dimmer and dimmer.
Colours:
Stun crystals have different colours which indicate how good they are. The list below goes from weakest to strongest crystal:
red,
amber,
light blue,
royal blue,
purple
bronze,
onyx,
silver,
golden.
Commands:
Crystal: this is the only command you need, executed from the Eexei Othairus stun crystal room.
crystal new: Start a new project.
Crystal Add: Add someone to the project.
Crystal Remove: Boot someone from the project.
Crystal contribute: Add a resource to the project.
Crystal refine: Add your refinement contribution.
