Legacy developer resources
Old software has an inconvenient habit of continuing to exist.
This section preserves older Nathan Tech development resources for people maintaining projects that still use them.
BGT resources
BGT was used by a number of audio-game developers and several Nathan Tech scripts and utilities were written for it. These resources are now considered legacy material.
What does legacy mean here?
It means the resource is preserved because somebody may still need it, not that Nathan Tech recommends starting a brand-new project with the technology today.
Number Checker
The Number Checker is an old Nathan Tech utility designed to play through the numbered audio files used by a game so you can make sure they are all present and actually play.
It was created with BGT projects in mind, although the basic idea is not tied to BGT. The number sound files are expected to use English word names, such as one, two and three.
Developer Tools scripts
The old Nathan Tech Developer Tools are a set of BGT scripts intended to make some common audio-game development jobs easier.
The original package included, amongst other things, the new_menu system as an alternative to the older dynamic_menu approach, as well as speech-related helpers.

These files are preserved for existing BGT projects. They are legacy resources, so don't take their presence here as me suggesting you should start your shiny new 2026 project in BGT!
